ARMY APPOINTMENTS
EXPEDITIONARY FORCE [BY TELEGBAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION 3 WELLINGTON. Thursday New Zealand Expeditionary Force appointments gazetted include the following:—Colonel K. L. Stewart relinquishes his appointment as General Staff Officer, first grade. Second New Zealand Division, on being placed on the New Zealand roll. He is succeeded by Lieutenant-Colonel W. G. Gentry. Major S. F. HartneU is appointed to command tlie 19th (Wellington) Battalion, vice Lieutenant-Colonel Varnham, who is placed on the New Zealand roll. Major (temporary Lieutenant-Colo-nel) D. T. Maxwell is appointed Assistant-Adjutant and QuartermasterGeneral, Second Now Zealand Division. Major (temporary Lieutenant-Colonel) S. M. Satterthwaito is appointed General Staff Officer (staff duties). The appointment is gazetted of Lieu-tenant-Colonel L. G. Goss, N.Z.S.C., to the New Zealand Armoured Corps, Ist (N.Z.) Army Tank Brigade.
