CLOSING OF SEASON CLUBS ON NORTH SHORE WINNERS OF COMPETITIONS Tho North Shore and Waitemata Ladies' Golf Clubs closed their winter seasons yesterday when competitions and annual meetings were held. Details are as follows: — Waitemata. —A very successful season closed yesterday, when a Canadian foursomes match was played, the winners being Mrs. Carnachan and Mrs. Christie A long-driving competition was won by Mrs. A. Wallace and approaching by Mrs. N. Hcd.ley. The prizes were presented by Mrs. L. Cooke, the winners of the main events being:—Club championship, Mrs. N. Hedley; runner-up, Miss P. Cowie; club trophy, Mrs. L. Longley; L.G.U. silver medal. Mrs. A. Wallace; bronze medal, Mrs. D. Christie. The retiring captain, Mrs. J. Ford, was presented with a small token of appreciation of her services. North Shore.—Tho winter season was closed yosterday, when Canadian Stableford bogey foursomes were played. The winners were Mrs. N. K. Swanston and Mrs. M. Corter, 35 points. Mrs. Spencer and Mrs. E. Cockayne, and Mrs. K. Pike and Miss I. Wight were next with 32. The prizes won during the soason were presented by Mrs. H. P. Ibbertson, the principal ones being:—Championship, Miss M. Stevens; junior championship, Miss R. Webster; presentation cup, Mrs. E. Cockayne' president's prize, Miss I. Stewart; captain's prize Mrs. E. Cockayne; North Shore Vase, Mrs. E. Thomas; season's eclectic, Mrs. E. Price (senior), Mrs. N. E. Crimp (junior); L.G.U silver medal, Mrs. E. Cockayne; bronze medal, Miss I. Stewart. The annual meeting was held, the following officers being elected:—Captain, Miss I. Wight; vicecaptain, Miss M. Stevens; secretary, Mrs. K. M. Pike; treasurer, Mrs. E. Thomas; handicapper, Miss L. McDonnell: committee, Mrs. W. Houghton, Mrs. G. Tilston, Mrs. I. James, Mrs. E. Dendy, Miss 11. Webster. Pupuke.—A medal round was played yesterday in conjunction with the first round of an eclectic competition, the best scores being: M rs. P. Andrew, 80, *o—74; Mrs. F. Prosser, ill, 10—75; Mrs. M. Walker, 95, 1.8—77. In the final of the match play four-ball for the English Public Schoolboys' Cup Mrs. Andrew and Miss B. O'Neill beat Mrs. A. Tysoe and Mrs. W. Davies, 3 and 2. The season's senior eclectic was won by Mrs. M. Walker, and the junior by Miss H. Lublow. Auckland.—A medal round for trophies presented bv Mrs. C. J. Green resulted in wins for Miss N. Noakes (seniors) and Miss B. Nolan (juniors). In the final of the Jessie Reid Pose Bowl competition Miss N. MacCormick beat Mrs. E. Dane, G and 5, and in the final of the W. R. Wilson Cup Mrs. J. S. Colegrove beat Mrs. A. R. Abbott, 3 and 2. Maungakiekie.—A medal handicap match played yesterday resulted: —Seniors: Mrs. W. E. Cassels-Brown, 80, 16—70; Mrs. A. F. Walker,' 84, 12 —72; Mrs. R. Manning, 88, 16—72; Mrs. W. J. Truscott, 1)0, 17—73. Intermediates: Mrs. A. C. Steele, 90, 20 —70; Miss N. Clark, 90, 19—71; Mrs. C. Waddingham, 94, 23—71; Mrs. G. Bennett, 95, 23—72; Mrs. J. Draydcn, 97, 25 —72. Juniors: Miss B. Wallace, 101, 35 —60; Miss D. Gregory, 100, 33—67; Miss K. Burton, 103, 32—71.
