WRESTLING ON MONDAY

BLOMFI ELD-ATKINS RETURN A wrestling match which all followers of the sport have been eagerly awaiting is the return in Auckland between Lofty Blomfield and the Australian, Fred Atkins. It will be remembered that Blomfield's first contest upon his return from overseas was against Atkins, but the New Zealand champion was not in condition for such a strenuous opening to his campaign. He did a lot better when the pair met in Wellington recently in what has been described as the most hectic encounter ever witnessed in the capital city. Blomfield lost the decision when a penalty fall was awarded against him in the final round after each man had obtained a fall. Blomfield is keen to have his revenge and Monday night's contest promises to be the most thrilling ever seen in Auckland. With two such rugged and powerful men in opposition the pressure is cortain to be on from the opening gong.
