TROOPS IN MALAYA
The esteem in which Dominion troops wore held in Malaya was mentioned J e9 " terday by the Rev. H. W. 1 odd, M . until recently assistant Chap' General in the Far East, who is visi ing Auckland. He said that the troops from the Dominions were settling down remarkably well in Malaya, and resi dents of Singapore and other larga • cities were doing all they could to provide comforts and entertainments to* the men. A fine example lufd - bv the Governor, Sir bhenton who had not only organised patriot appeals, but had turned Ins P rn 0 f gulf course over for the exclusive use troops.
