MISSING SOLDIER
NO SIGN OF PRIVATE HENRY (0.C.) HAMILTON, Monday No trace has been found of Private Douglas Neil Henry, aged 22, single, of Te Akau, who has been missing since last Wednesday evening. Wide areas of the Te Akau district have been thoroughly combed, and to-day a small search party, with the assistance of two outboard motors, unsuccessfully searched parts of the coastline and the upper reaches of the Raglan Harbour. Relatives stated to-day that, as Private Henry might be suffering from loss of memory, and thus be many miles away from the district, the search could no longer be confined to the one area. It is learned that /the missing man had a petrol licence for three gallons in his possession. The licence was issued at Te Akau, and is numbered B 241898. All garage proprietors have been asked to keep a look-out for the licence. Investigations are in the charge of Detective J. Hayes, of Hamilton.
