DIED OF WOUNDS The International Red "Cross, Geneva, reports that the following soldier lias died of wounds, previously reported wounded and prisoner of war:— Keith, Arohibald Evelyn (L.-Cpl.)—The Rev. A. L. Keith, England (father). PRISONERS OF WAR The Red Cross reports the following soldier as prisoner of war, previously reported presumed killed in action: — Cartwrigh?i, Cordon Keith (Sgt.)—Mrs. A. Cartwright, (mother). Hunt, New South Wales (friend). Buchanan, Charles Gordon (C.Q.M.S.) —Mrs. E. D. Buchanan, Christchurch (mother). Buckworth, Charles Garthon (Sgt.)—Mrs. M. Harper, Auckland (sister). Corrie, George Leslie —Mr. G. Corrie, England (father). Glasson, Percy Lorraine—Mrs. J. Giobie, Kaiapoi (mother). Harsant, Walter Bruce—Mr. W. Ilarsant, Mercury Bay (father). Hartley, Walter (L.-Sgt.)—Mrs. E. Hartley, Auckland (mother). Holt, George—Mrs. Bellinger, England. Sullivan, Denis Verdun —Mrs. E. M. Sullivan. Tinwald (mother). Gunner O. J. Muir, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Muir, of Grey _ Street, Claudelands, was born at Alfriston 28 years ago. He was educated at the Sedilon Memorial Technical College, Auckland. He was keenly interested in the Oddfellows' Lodge, and was a member of the 7th Medium Battery,
Hamilton. He enlisted with the Third Echelon, and spent seven months on service in Fiji before leaving New Zealand for the Middle East. Gunner Muir spent two years in England, from 1936 to 1938, and was a branch store manager there. He was employed by Burgess, Fraser, and Company, Limited, Hamilton, before enlisting. REPORTED MISSING BIRKENHEAD SOLDIER Advice that their younger son. Corporal Gordon Davis, has been reported missing, has been received by Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Davis, of Arawa Street, Birkenhead. According to advice received earlier from another source, Corporal Davis, who is aged 29, was last seen 011 the beach at Crete during the withdrawal of troops. He was formerly well known in golfing and _ hockey circles. Prior to enlistment with the Expeditionary Force he was in the employ of the Post and Telegraph Department at Wellington. A fine record of military service is boasted by Corporal Davis' family. His grandfather served in three wars and his father in two, while he and his brother are both with the forces in this war.

Jamieson, Douglas James (Pilot-Officer), previously reported missing, now reclassified as missing, believed killed in action— Mr. E. J. Jatnieson, Christchurch (father). Thompson, Norman Watson (Sgt.), killed in an aircraft accident —Mrs. A. Thompson, Grey town (mother). Paget, Arthur lan (Sgt.), missing on air operations—Mr. C. F. Paget, Palmerston North (brother). Ha sold en, Howard Clive McLeigh (Sgt.), missing on air operations —Mr. H. i. Haselden, Te Awamutu (father). Dare. Frederick Charles (Sgt..), previously, reported missing, now reported missing, believed prisoner of war—Mrs. E. Dare, Auckland (mother). . . Williams, Gerald Standish (actinjj-Flying-Officer), previously reported missing, now reported missing, believed prisoner of war—Mr. B. S. Williams, Havelock North (brother). Goodwin, Charles Sidney Victor (Sgt.), previously reported missing, now reported missing believed prisoner of war—Mrs. C. E. Goodwin, Auckland (mother). Pilot-Officer P. G. Herrick, aged 20, was the only son of Mr. F. D. Herrick, of Tautane, Herbertville. He was serving as a cadet on an English estate learning English farming practice when tlio war broke out. He succeeded after difficulty on account of his age in joining the Royal Air Force.
