FIRST-AID POSTS

INSPECTION BY OFFICER A number of first-aid posts staffed by -Rod Cross personnel in the Manurewa, Waiuku, Warkworth and Weilsford districts were inspected at the week-end by Lieutenant-Colonel JHardie Neil, who is in charge of the medical and first-aid branch of t/ie metropolitan,, emergency precautious organisation. He was accompanied bv the chairman of the Auckland Hospita. Board, Mr. Allan J. Moody, and other members of the board. Mr. G. '1 ■ Paterson. chairman of the Auckland^ centre of the New Zealand Rod Cross Society, and Mr. A. A. Harker. secretary. The inspecting officer expressed pleasure and satisfaction at the oinciency of the posts, and also at the amount of equipment which was available. The post at Wellsford had on parade a motor-truck which has been converted for use as an ambulance.
