STUDENTS CONFESS

VICTIM'S SPORTING VIEW DUE FOR AN APOLOGY (Reed. 1 a.m.) SYDNEY, July *25 Undergraduates to-day confessed that last night's kidnapping of Sir Evelyn Wrench was a hoax in retaliation for his refusal to address a meeting of the University Union on Wednesday—which the students themselves boycotted, only a mere handful attending. Sir Evelyn has taken the incident in good part and is now prepared to admit he was the victim of a students' prank. He said he was well aware what students were capable of doing, but he felt entitled to some sort of apology, in which case he would take the case out of the hands of the detectives.
