Laundering the Spots
A DOMESTIC problem that is apt to crop up in winter time, is that of spots and discoloured patches on ceilings. Haiti and damp have a way of revealing the weak spots, and it is not
always possible to give ceilings a newcoat of paint. Here is a way of cleaning them up temporal ily at least. Make i weak solution ol starch and water and paint the -pots and discoloured parts over with this. Ix'ave the solution to dry on the ceiling and then finish off the job h\ giving the treated parts a light rubbing over with a clean coarse rag just to smooth the surlace a little.
