PROVIDING MORE CONTROL' Legislation is being drafted to give greater control over the marketing of certain patent medicines and remedies, according to an interview with the Minister of Health, the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, published in the Labour paper, the Standard. He said the legislation would bring New Zealand into lino with other Empire countries. "In dealing with this problem w e certainly cannot tolerate a continuance of the position where the State P a ? s more attention to medicines for animals than it does to medicines for human beings," the Minister said. The contro of medicines for animals is provided for in the Stock Remedies Act, and tio regulations made under the Act, wine l provide that all remedies sold for stoc troubles must be registered, the pap er adds. It says that at present there is no similar control of medicines a' l remedies sold for human beings.
