STOCK-BUYER KILLED

MOTOR-CAR OVERTURNS

WANCtANFI, Wednesday

A stock buyer of Waverley, Mr. Henry Barker English, employed by Thomas Borthwick and Sons, was killed early this evening when a car he was driving failed to negotiate a bend in the main road near Kai-iwi, 10 miles north of Wanganui.

Mr. English had been attending ft stock sale in Wanganui and was returning to Waver!oy accompanied by two passengers. About 50 yards north of the Kai-iwi Bridge the car mounted a bank on the left-hand side of the road and overturned. Mr. English *\as thrown through the side window and pinned between the car and the bitumen. The passengers in the car were not injured. At the time of the accident Mr. English's wife was travelling ahead of him in another car.
