£2OOO FOR MALTA

PATRIOTIC FUND GRANTS [BY TKMOC.IiAI'H—I'UKSS ASSOCIATION] \V ELLING T0 N, Wednesday

The National Patriotic Fund Board at its meeting to-day decided to make another grant of £2OOO to the Malta Relief Fund. A similar sum was contributed earlier in the year and was acknowledged by tho Governor of Malta, who sent a cable message on behalf of the peoplo of the island expressing tho warmest gratitude for the gift. The meeting, over which the Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, prosided, also approved a further contribution of £IOO,OOO toward relief in Britain, which was recommended by a recent conference of patriotic bodies.
