CLUB ACTIVITIES

Auckland DX Club.—<A successful carnival danco was held recently. About 220 people were present and modern and old-time dances were included on tho programme. New Women's Club.—The president, Mrs. A, Gladding, presided at tho last mooting:, at which Miss Ellon Melville gave ft talk on "The Government of our City." Housewives' Association.—An address was given to members of the association recently by Mr. H R. Hansen, analytical advisor to the nutritional committee of the Master Bakers' Association. Mrs. C. James presided. I'hilco Social Club.—The newly-formed social club held its first social evening recently. Items and dancing were enjoyed. Franchise Assembly.—Madame 11. G. Milbum presided at the monthly meeting and gave an address on tho natural resources of New Zealand. Mrs. Coyle, of the Hoasowives' Association, also spoke.
