INTOXICATED IN CAR

FINE OF £2O IMPOSED (0.G.) WHANGAREI, Monday A rental car proprietor of Whangarei, Matthew James Erceg', appeared at the Whangarei Policy Court to-day and pleaded guilty to a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motorcar. After hearing the evidence the magistrate, Mr. R. Pernor, S.M., said he considered the case was one which could be met by the imposition of a substantial fine. Erceg was fined £2O and disqualified from holding a driver's licence for 12 months.
