[RY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Monday The death is reported from London of Mr. Anthony Rooper, the eldest son of Mr. John R. Rooper, of London, a director of the Port Line, Limited. He joined the Royal Navy on the outbreak of war, mid was killed in a motor accident while on leave from his ship. MfJohn Rooper arrived in New Zealand in 1915 to take over the New Zealand management of the Port Line, and remained here in that capacity for som? years before returning to the beau oftice.
