POSTAGE ON CIRCULARS
(0.C.) HAMILTON, Thursday The refusal of the Postal Department to distribute circulars to consumers advising them of the need for economy in the consumption of electricity for a halfpenny was criticised at a meeting of the Central Waikato Electric-Power Board. Mr. l'\ L. Onion said the department's attitude disclosed a lack of co-operation in a time of emergency. It was decided to pay the penny postage demanded.
