SILK LADY DISPLAYS DASH PETER TRAVIS. TRUE GUIDE BY ABAYDOS By sprinting the last half-mile of her work in 1.7 3-5, Silk Lady recorded the hest time 011 the course proper at Epsom yesterday. Marcus, Handicapper and Sonja Henie, 1.8, also performed wall, and other good efforts were: Manga Tangi, 1.8 1-5, .Franco, 1.0, and Princess Linnett, 1.9 3-5. The flags were out 30 feel and the track was in good order. On the dirt Peter Travis was responsible for a good two miles. Sonja Henie (W. Fleming) went away three seconds ahead of Silk Lady (W. H. Andrews), but they were on terms at the end of a mile and a-half, Silk Lady going' 3.45. Sonja Henie stayed on well after making fhc pace over the first mile in 12.40. Silk Lady, who was unlucky at Clandelands, put dash into her final effort. Marcus (D. Cook), after going the first six furlongs in 1.50, completed a mile and n-quarter in 2.58, a very useful effort. Marcus is being returned to his owners. Dick Redmond (A. 'I. Xcwdick) finished a shade better than Walter Gay (A. Brown) at. the end of a mile and a-half in 3.51. (he first mile taking 2.39. Forest Jewel (W. Fleming), Franco (A. McGarry) and Handicapper (G. H. Stubbs) began as named, but Handicapper was in front from Franco at the end of a mile and a-quarter in •_'.55. Handicapper and Franco appear none the worse for recent racing. Muriga Tangi (S. M. August) led Moko Direct (A. T. iNewdick) over a mile and a-half in 3.38. Munga Tangi is regaining formAnthony's Gift (S. M. August), after leading for the first mile and a-quarter in 3.1. tired and was easily beaten over a mile and a-half in 3.38 by Petite Jewel (W. H. Andrews), who ran the last half-mile in J. 10 '2-5. Princess Linnett (J. W. McKcndrick) ran two miles in 5.0 3-5, the first in 2.35. Ringstone (\V. Fleming) worked a mile and a-quarter in 3.5, the first six furlongs in 1.52. Wharekawa (A. Cole) easily beat Esther (C. M. Morrison), who broke at the. turn, over a mile and a-half in 3.50. trotting the last halfmile in 1.15. On the dirt Peter Travis (I. R. Morrison) led True Guide (J. E. Mcßride) throughout, two miles in 4.32. Peter Travis ran the last milo and a-half in 3.21 and half-mile in 1.0. True Guide could not make any impression on Peter Travis in the run homeAssisted bv the Kewpie's Crest filly (D. Cook), Pink Lady (B. Dyer) trotted a mile and a-half in 3.39. the first two furlongs in 395. Pink Lady trotted solidly, running the last, half-mile in 1.10.
