SOLID SEVEN FURLONGS RENASCOR AND COURTING (0.C.) PALMERSTOX XORTH. Thursday Conditions were perfect at Awopuni this morning when candidates for the Otnki meeting were given their final gallops. The flags were wide out on the course proper, and the going was good. One of the best efforts over seven furlongs was that of Renascor (S. Waddell) and Courting (".J. Bowness), who ran 1.38 2-5, the first half-mile in 575. Caution (W. J. Broughton) went with them over (he last six. Gaelic Song (McKinnon) maintained an even pace over seven furlongs in 1.10. Myarion (Waddell) and Hokuinai were on terms and going nicely at III" end of seven furlongs in 1.38 3-5. Colibri (K. Temperton) ran 1.13 2-5. Victoire (Waddell) nnd Elusory (Tatter-s-all) were easing up before they reached the post to record 1 .25 for six furlongs. Good efforts ove-v five were those of Pitmark i Broughton), l.si :s-">; War Credit (Tattersall), 1.9 3-5: and Manahau (Wnddelll, 1.!) 3-5. Sweet Anne (Broughton) easily ran four furlongs in 55 l-ss. Sandy Bay (Tattersall) was not asked to do better than even time over four, tint Ringless (Broughton) averaged IN to the furlong. Sfpieers (Broughton) and Henry of Huntingdon (F. Buchanan) were a couple of lengths in front of Ant (H. P. Stewart) at the end of five furlongs in 1.1 I. Selkirk and Colerica took 1.1.'i for five furlongs and Plying Spray (Stewart) ran three furlongs in 12 s,
Gamepit (M. Wright) again jumped the country out in the oval, giving another sound display. Horses thai were put over the schooling hurdles were Corroboree (Miss White) and Quadroon iM, Bowden), and Manteau (D. W. Redstone). Clarion 'Call (B. IT. .Morris) was given a strong work-out on the course proper and pulled in) well. B. If. .Morris leaves for Hastings on Monday to take charge of Mr. Frank Ormond's horses.
