COMMUNITY LIGHTING
A decision to seek an assurance from the Auckland Kleet ric-l'owor Board that all charges for community lighting will he .suspended during the blackout, was made at the Onenunga Businessmen's Association. It was reported that the lighting equipment in Queen Street had been dismantled and placed iu storage for the duration of the war and the meeting agreed that, in the meantime the usual members' subscriptions should be suspended.
The. following officers Here re-elected:— President, Mr. T- 11. Ashe; vice-president Mr. \V. Humphries; secretary, Mr. O. V. Thorpe; treasurer, Mr. H, Clarkson; committee, Mr. \V. H. Potter, Mr. R. Ivell.
