FLYING ACCIDENTS

AIRSPEED OXFORD WRECKED HAWKER HIND DAMAGED (0.C.) WANG AX UI, Wednesday Two mishaps, involving the loss of an Airspeed Oxford bomber, and damage to a Hawker Hind light bomber, occurred to aeroplanes from the Ohakea Royal New Zealand Air Force station. The Airspeed Oxford was approaching the landing-field when it crashed through a hedge round a field near the station. It hit the ground heavily and was much damaged. Jhe pilot received a broken arm, and the other man in the aeroplane suffered shock. The Hawker Hind pilot had a forced landing near Kakarki, and managed to put his machine on the ground with only slight damage. The pilot suffered slight abrasions.
