ELECTRICITY CHARGES

CUT FOR HOSPITAL URGED In referring to the calls on the finances of the Auckland Hospital Board the chairman, Mr. Allan J. Moody, at a special meeting yesterday, said he had noted that the Auckland Electric-Power Board was to hold a function to celebrate its attainment of the £1,000,000 mark in revenue. "Without in any way being critical, I think it would be very nice for the Power Board to consider a substantial reduction in its charges to the Hospital Board for the next 12 months," he said. "This would be a wonderful gesture and would also assist the ratepayers."
