His other jobs extend from registering births, marriages and deaths to licensing hotels, registering business undertakings, taking aftidcivits, conducting Prize Courts, ana acting as bailiff to enforce decisions of the local court. Even a general election for the House of Representatives can not oe held without his co-operation, because he is returning officer lor the Northern Territory. . . Mr. Nichols is not quite certain ot frbat he does in his spare time. He has been at Darwin since 19'20.
