Grass Track Racing
The New Zealand quarter-mile grass track championship "ill he held by the Auckland Motor-cycle Club at the Epsom Showgrounds this afternoon, starting at two o'clock. A large programme of races will bo decided, and plenty of excitement may be expected. The last trial of the year was held by the club last Sunday, there being a large entry of riders. A. Hodgson won his first trial in two years, riding a B.S.A. and losing only 15 points. C. Brindle. who rode a Velocette and lost 'l7 points, was second, and S. Winterburn, on a Hodge, who lost IS points, was third. The trophy given by Mr. H. Wright for the best performance given by a novice rider was won by Winterburn. R. Seed and K. Blenkarne being equal for second place in this competition. The last social of the year has been organised by the ladies' committee for Tuesday night in the clubrooms at 2A Edinburgh Street., Newton. All motorcyclists and their lady lrionds are invited to attend.
