ANOTHER PROTEST

CASE OF TWO TEACHERS Criticism of the Auckland Education Board's action in recommending the Education Department to withold certificates from two probationer teachers was made by speakers at the quarterly general meeting of the Auckland branch of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners on Wednesday. The society expressed its support of similar criticisms from the staff of the Auckland University College and the district council of the Workers' Educational Association. Copies of a resolution protesting against the hoard's recommendation to tlie department, because it was based on political opinions alone, will be sent to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education, the Education Department and the board, and also to the Labour Rop rose ntat ion Com mi 11 ee.
