FALL DOWN BANK
MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] GISBORXE. Tuesday A middle-aged man, Mr. John Francis Bothamlev, of the Tikiwhata railway camp, is in hospital in a serious condition as a result of chest injuries and shock suffered when lie fell down » steep bank. Mr. Bothamlev, with several companions, had spent a day fishing in A small boat off the beach at Whareongaonga. The track from the beach at this point is steep and winding and when the party was returning home Mr. Bothamlev, who was some distance behind lais companions, tripped and -rolled down a steeply-sloping face for 80ft. to 100 ft. Several men from Bartiett's camp accompanied Constable Andrews to the scene. With the aid of ropes and a stretcher the injured man was brought back to the track and taken to the Cook Hospital.
