WAIKATO RAISES £43,000

[from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Tuesday In commenting on the success of the Waikato queen carnival, the Mayor of Hamilton and chairman of the Waikato Patriotic Zone. Mr. H. D. Caro, said the result was above expectations. With £13,000 already in hand, and several further amounts to come in, as well as the proceeds from the coronation ceremony, Mr. Caro added that he thought the Waikato quota of £45,000 would be raised as the result of the one campaign.
