BUILDING INCREASE

ONE TREE HILL FIGURES An increase of £51,239, or 115 per cent, is shown in the value of building permits issued by the One Tree Hill Borough Council during the past eight months, in comparison with the corresponding period last year. According to a report presented at a meeting of the council last night, these figures are the highest for the past 11 years. Government houses are not included. The principal reason for the large increase is the recent popularity of land at Penrose for industrial purposes. For the fortnight ended November 29, a total of 12 permits aggregating £27.537 were issued, tho works including a factory and four dwellings.
