ANNUAL TOURNAMENT PUBLIC SERVICE PAIRS PLAYERS REMAINING IN The twentieth annual Public Service pairs bowling tournament was played yesterday on the Auckland and Mount Eden Clubs' greens under perfect weather conditions. Fifty-four teams took part and the results were as follows: — AUCKLAND GREEN Section A.—Hammond, Hunt (Railway), 4 wins; Jones, Meek (Railway), Garrett, Gibbons (Public Works), Taylor, Maher (Lands and Survey), S wins; Dunne, Jones (Post and Telegraph), 2 wins; McVinnie, Cooke (Railway), no wins. Section B.—Taylor, Walker (Retired Teachers), Lawes, Quinlan (Post and Telegraph), 4 wins; Geary, Tudhope (Lands and Survey), 3 wins; Sad'", Hardie Nell (Defence), 2 wins; Roud, Bevin (Railway), Harris, Wrathall (Post and Telegraph), 1 win. Walker and Qninlan went on to intersection play.
