HAPPY DEAF MUTE
Richard Ryan, deaf-and-dumb barman in one of the French Quarter's taverns in New Orleans, uses sign language to admit that his job is a pleasant ono because he does not have to listen to the babble of tipsy customers. When he learned that fellow employees complained about the repetition of the same swing song on the musio box, ho smiled.
