THE LORD'S PRAYER
Sir. — Is this a Christian country or not? In spite of" temporary luilure ;it times in both individual and national life, the British nation as a whole has for more than 1000 years accepted the beliefs of Christianity. And yet the Wellington Education Hoard lias received a letter from the Education Department stating that to permit the recital of the Lord s Prayer in schools was contrary to law and must not be proceeded with. As the Lord's Prayer was given to us by our Lord Himself as an example of perfect urayer, and is accepted as such by all* sects of Christians, why should* t here be a law in a British Dominion that excludes the use ol this pravor to children attending the Government schools ? Surely such a law needs abolishing without loss ol time. Jmust Tuim.s J«'lltST.
