CLIPPER. DITE TO-MORROW THE TASMAN SERVICE SEVERAL TRIPS ARRANGED

With the projected arrival of tho Clipper at Auckland from San Francisco to-morrow afternoon, both the Pan American Airways and the Tasman Empire Airway's organisations will have a busy period this week. ■ • • The marine airport of Auckland will become increasingly active in the coming months, the number of passengers and quantitj' of mails carried to and from Sydney having risen considerably of late. Already 87 persons have booked passages by the Auckland-Sydney flyingboat service during the next two, months, and there is the prospect of a similar number travelling to Auckland from Australia.

The Tasman Empire Airways schedule this week is . a full one. A flying-boat with at least 12 passengers and" a heavy consignment of mail will leave Auckland early to-morrow morning, and return on Friday afternoon with freight and passengers. Six- of the passengers have booked for the flight of the Clipper on its north-bound trip, which is expected to begin on Saturday. A flyingboat will leave for Sydney on Saturday morning and return to Auckland from Sydney on Sunday afternoon.
