AVONDALE CLUB
(MEETING OPENS TO-DAY [THE PROBABLE FAVOURITES OUR JEAN STRONGLY FANCIED JThe Avondale Jockey Club's Spring Meeting will be opened to-day.. Good fields are engaged, and there should be 'some excellent contests. Most of the events are very open, and there should be a wide range of fancies. Provision has been made' to run the Trial Plate jn two divisions if the safety number of 28 is exceeded, but it is probable tint the necessity for divisions will be obviated, as' Karatoki has been iicratched, Cheddington is not to run and at least/ one other scratching is ; expected. The course is in splendid order, after fiixo weather' during the past few days, and the going should bo good.- • Horses likely to bo well supported in- ■ elude: — ■ Kingsland Hurdles. —Midland, Lapidarian, The Trimmer. _JTrial Plato.—Venture.
