MAIHIIHI RED CROSS

Excellent work is being done by the members of the Tied Cross sewing circle in the Maihiihi district. Since tho formation of tbe circle tliree months ago, the following goods hnve been despatched to the Otorohanga branch of it-he Red Cross Society:—22 pairs of stockings, 28 linen bedside bags, 40 hot water bag covers, 14 hand-knitted balaclavas, two pairs of bed-socks, seven pairs of pyjamas, as well as rolled bandages, flannel shirts and face-cloths. Donations for tlio purchasing of additional material are coming in freely from the settlers of the district.
