"Accused must be shown that it is not worth while to be dishonest in a factory," said Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, when six youths and one girl, aged between 17 and 19 years, were charged with stealing socks from the factory where thev worked. . . "The Court takes a serious view ot this type of offence," added the magistrate." "A company, like a departmental store, must be protected." Each of the accused was fined £4.
