MILK COUNCIL VACANCY

Two nominations, those of Mr. Ernest Frank Andrews, of Balmoral, and Mr. Arthur Thompson, of Morningside, have been received for the extraordinary vacancy on the Auckland Metropolitan Miik Council caused by the death of Mr. J. Haslam, who was tlie milk vendors' representative on the council. An election will be held by postal ballot on September 25, milk vendors within the council's district being eligible to vote. •
