"MUSICAL ARMY"

BRIGHT ENTERTAINMENT .An entertaining type of concert was given in tho Town Hal! last night by the Musical Army, an organisation of young musicians who showed outstanding talent on many types of instruments. Dressed in black and white uniforms, the boys and girls taking part completely iilied the main stage of the hall, and were divided into sections which performed on the piano-accordion, guitar, mandolin', ukelele and harmonica with skill and assurance.

Many popular songs were included in the programme, among them being "Boomps-a-Daisy," by tho mandolin group, "Carmen Overture," by the piano-accordion grouo, "Run, Rabbit, Run," by the ukeloie group, "Pagan Love Song," by the guitar group, "Medley of Overtures," by the Auckland Harmonica Band, and several solos and duets. Proceeds were in aid of the National Permanent Health Camp and a War Effort Fund.
