SHIPS FOR CHILDREN
MR. ROOSEVELT SIGNS BILL NEW YORK, Ausrust 2S President Roosevelt has signed the bill authorising American ships'to enter ■war zones in order to evacuate child refugees, says a despatch from Washington. , * According to a message from Montreal, a Norwegian liner with 100 boys and girls from Scotland has arrived at a port in Eastern Canada. The children are remaining in Canada for the duration of the war. The ship's officers, Norwegians, now working for the Royal Navy, said the crossing was without incident.
