DEATH AT 94
MR. MATTHEW. HENRY ROE The death has occurred of Mr. Matthew Henry Roe, who was born in Auckland 94 years ago. After being educated in Australia, Mr. Eoe was for some years in charge of the clerical staff of a timber mill at Cornwallis owned by his father. Later he took up farming in the Paliiatua district. Qn his retirement he lived in a houseboat on the Mnnukiiu Harbour for about 20 years, but ifi 1930 went to reside in Ponsonby, Mr. Roe had excellent health all his life, and "when a young man was a keen cricketer. He v.&s never married.
