LADY GALWAY GUILD
A large amount of work has been carried out by the Otahuhu branch of the Lady Galway Guild since it was inaugurated. In the past two. weeks the members have sorted and renovated many of the garments and clothing received through the clothes drive organised locally and 71 large parcels have been completed and sent to the central depot in the city. The pupils of the local schools have been active in knitting and making garments and the girls of the Technical High School have completed 12 quilts , and many articles of attire. The branch members hold work-meetings in St. Andrew's Hall every Friday. Good progress is reported by the Ellerslio branch of the Lady Galway Guild, which meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the Masonic Hall. Over 600 garments have been re-made, repaired and packed for despatch to tho central depot. Parcels of gifts are received at the patriotic room in the Council Chamber every Fridiiy afternoon. *
