CAMP COURTS-MARTIAL
TWO SOLDIERS CHARGED Two courts-martial were held yesterday at Papakura mobilisation camp. The decisions will not be promulgated until they have been confirmed by the officer convening the courts-martial, Colonel Js. W. McD. Weir, commanding the northern military district. Gunner H. It. Readman, 2nd AntiTank Regiment, was charged with being, absent without leave from April 28 to May 8, with being absent without leave from May 16 to June 28, and with escaping from arrest and losing by neglect his equipment, clothing ami regimental necessaries. The court consisted of LieutenantColonel C. Shuttlewortli (president) and Captain J. Oliphant aud Lieutenant A. Marbeck. Lieutenant-Colonel F. L. G. West was judge-advocate. In the second case, Private T. Lineen, 24th (Auckland) Battalion, was charged with being absent without leave from May 23 to July 14. Major J. G. C. Wales was president of the court, and the members were Captains C. H. Chapman and R. R. Beattie. with Lieutenant-Colonel West as judgeadvocate.
