LIQUOR BREACHES

Several persons charged

Nine persons, including three women, were charged in tho Police Court, before Mr. ,J. Morling, S.M., yesterday .with being found on premises at 63 Randolph. Street, Newton, used for illegal dealing in liquor. Those charged were Yeolande Archer. Donald William Belvin, John Cameron, Jack Edward Evans, Colin Kaye, Jean Leach, and Betty Collioun (Mr. Fraer), Alfred Amos Hunt and Gladys Hunt (Mr. Noble).

Belvin, Colhoun and Leach denied the charges, which were dismissed after evidence was heard. „Kaye, who also pleaded not guilty, was fined £1 and costs. The others wero each fined £1 and costs, Gladys Hunt being convicted and discharged. Senior-Sergeant Joyce said the premises concerned in tho charges wero known as the Century Club.
