CONVERSION CHARGE

YOUTH IN COURT Charged with the unlawful conversion of a motor-car valued at £l5O, Oliver Charles Nolan, aged 18, appeared before Mr. J. Morling, S.M.J in the Police Court yesterday. The offence was admitted. Senior-Sergeant Joyce said accused and a boy aged 16, who would appear in the Children's Court, took tho car and after driving it for some miles collided with another vehicle. The car was insured, but £lB 5s 6d damage had been caused.

Accused was placed on probation for two years, a condition being that he pay half the' amount of the damage caused.
