MATCHES ASKED FOE SOUTH AUCKLAND'S REQUEST SUGGESTION BY WELLINGTON The Auckland Rugby League received a letter last evening from the South Auckland League asking for a representative fixture against Auckland. The matter was deferred until later in the season. It was suggested that the game may be played in South Auckland. The Wellington League confirmed tho transfers of P. Mahima and F. Pickering, both of whom were in camp at Trentham with the third echelon. Tho suggestion that a representative game be played between Auckland and Wellington was deferred, it being considered the time was not opportuno for teams to travel.
Tho case against. J. Marsh, Manukau, who was ordered off in the principal game at Carlaw Park last Saturday, lapsed owing to tho failure of tho referee to report the matter according to tho rules. Incidents which followed tho ordering off of Marsh wero reported by tho chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell. and discussion upon them was taken in committee, after which it was agreed to defer any action in regard to tho player. An application from tho Papakura Club for a match against a town team at Papakura was deferred until later in tho season. Arrangements in connection with the commencement of tho second round of the senior grado championship wore discussed, tho chairman remarking that Mount Albert, last year's champion side, had won its last four games in succession, and North Shoro should meet with strong opposition. Senior grade fixtures for Saturday:—Mount Albert v. North Shore, Carlaw Park No. 3, 3 p.niv Mr. G. Kelly; Manukau v. City. Carlaw Park No. 1, 1.30 p.m., Mr. S. 3illmnn; Richmond v.
