THE GREAT WAR SOLDIER

Sir, —I have just read "Onco Again's" letter and I am compelled to write and say that his wife is absolutely right. Every able-bodied man should be brought into this either for overseas or home defence service, and the women called up to fill their places and pull their weight, as they have shown every sign of being willing to do, apart from knitting socks. This would also dispense with the aliens, who in the interests of safety first should bo rounded up. Tho King has asked for a day of prayer next Sunday, but apparently this is not of interest either.. Wake up, Aotearoa, wake up! Wake up! Thinking Woman.
