HURT IN COLLISION

"WOMAN AND CHILD Injuries to the bnclc and severe shock wore suffered by Mrs. Elizabeth Burton Wright, aged 72. a widow, of Station Road, Wiri, when the motor-car in which she was a passenger was involved in .a collision with another vehicle near Royal Oak yesterday morning. Both motor-cars were extensively damaged. Another passenger in the same ear, Mrs. Wright's grand-daughter, Joy Margaret Wright, aged 11, of Okoroire, received severe lacerations to the face and head. St. John Ambulance men who were summoned had difficulty in extricating the girl from the vehicle, which had rolled over several times after the impact. Mrs. Wright's condition last night was fairly serious.
