TEN AUCKLAND SISTERS GUESTS AT MORNING TEA TRADITIONS OF PROFESSION Members of the "Returned Army Nursing Sisters' Association met in the John Court tea rooms yesterday morning to honour the sisters who have been ehoseti for active service overseas. The president, Mrs. P. J. North, welcomed the guests of honour, who included Sister A. C. Tothill, Sister 10. Herd, Sister A. K. Bowman, Sister J. Gillillan. Sister M. E. Jackson, Sister 11. Hohbs, Sister J. Martin, Sister E. E. Maekav, Sister A. Gotliic-Shcwan and Sister E. J. Wilson. Also present was M iss E. M. Nutscy, matron of the northern military district.

' Mrs. North congratulated the sisters on their response to the call for service, and Mrs. L. I?. Haworth, secretary, presented each guest with a gift on behalf of the. members. Sister Tothill, who replied on behalf of the guests of honour, said the.v would all do their utmost to uphold the traditions of the service and follow the high standard of those present who went through the previous campaign in the various theatres of war. Miss Nutscy said she felt sure the sisters chosen would worthily uphold the highest ideals of the profession. During an adjournment to the roof garden, a message was received from Mr. .John Court conveying his good wishes to the gathering, and asking them to be his guests at the morning tea_, The members present were:—Mrs. P. iT. REGISTERED NURSES TRIBUTE TO COLLEAGUES The same sisters were entertained last night by the Auckland branch of the Now Zealand Registered Nurses' Association at the Nurses' Home in Park Road. The joint hostesses were Mrs. 0. W. Knight, president- of the association, and Miss E. M. Nutsev, lady superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, vice-president of the association and matron of the northern militarv district. A welcome was extended to the guests by Mrs. Knight, who presented each with a gift from members of the association. Brief speeches were made b'v Miss Nutsev and by Mrs. P. •). North, president of the Returned Army Nursing Sisters' Association, to which Sister M. E. Jackson replied on behalf of the guests of honour. Songs were given by TS'urso Joyce' Jenkins, violin solos bv Nurse W. Wallis, and recitations by Nurse L. M. Hendry.
