Mr. 11. Tai Mitchell, at the annual meeting of the Rntorua .Rugby I'nion. The season was highly successful. The senior competition was won bv Waikite. while Kahiikura had annexed the (ieyserland Shield and Mitchell Shield. The representatives were joint holders with Opotiki ol the I'arata Cup. hut were defeated by this team in the Te llurunui Apanui Shield competition. l'lay was of u high standard m tno junior competition, which was won by Old "".V s - Tliirt team had also won tlie Mcintosh Shield from Tauranga. The Fijian representatives fielded a fine side in the match against the Hay of Plenty Maoris al Kotorua and proved too stood for the local team.
