AVONDALE COLLISION
BUS AND SMIALL CAR INJURIES TO TWO WOMEN Injuries received when their stationary motor-car was struck by a bus on the Great North Boad, near Avondale, yesterday morning resulted 'in the admission to the Auckland Hospital of Mrs. Gladys Catlieart, aged 43, and her mother, Mrs. Annie Cooke, aged 73, both residing at Wake's Road, 1\ ivorhead. When the accident occurred the car was stopped to enable some repairs to be made, Mrs. Catbcarfc being at the side of the vehicle and her husband, Captain E. H. Catlieart, and Mrs. Cooke being seated inside. The car, a small model, was carried across a footpath and turned on its side, and Mrs. Catlieart was thrown some distance. Mrs. Catlieart and Mrs. Cooke were taken to hospital in a St. John ambulance and both were admitted with head injuries. Their condition last night was reported to be not serious. Captain. Catlieart received bruises.
