INFORMATION MINISTRY 600 NEWSPAPERS DAILY [kisom oiru own cokiikspondknt] LOXDOX, March 2 Rvcr.v week two tons of paper are supplied to the Ministry of Information in London, and every week 100 sacks of paper are returned to H.M. Stationery Office as waste. The Ministry employs a staff of 560. Here are a few other details of the stationery material used by this department of the British Government. They use 200.000 foolscap sheets and 192.000 quarto sheets of paper a week on duplicating machines, of which there are 23. Each month 160,000 sheets of flimsy paper are used by the typists, and 160.000 pages of headed paper. There are 172 typewriters. This Ministry also requires 500 black-lead pencils. -LOO blue and 200 rod each month, 21 pints of black ink. 12 pints of red ink. and 260.000 wire staples. The department also orders (500 newspapers daily. Cuttings are taken from them for filing purposes, they are circulated abroad, and used for departmental reference.
