ALTMARCK PRISONERS
WELL-EARNED HOLIDAY WIRELESS AND ELECTION TALKS [from our own correspondent] LONDON, Feb. 23 All the New Zealanders who were rescued from the Altmarck hare been spending a holiday in London. They were paid up to the day they landed in Britain from the Cossack, and they have been promised priority for wofk when they report again. Two of them in particular, J. Wheeler (Dunedin) and A. C. "Watt (Wellington), found plenty, to interest them in London.. Wheeler gave several broadcasts for the 8.8.C.. one of tnern to New Zealand, and Watt spoke at a bv-election at Silvertown on behalf of Mr. J. H. Hollins, the Labour candidate. _ , , All the men visited New Zealand House. Except for personal details, they all had the same tale to tell of their experiences. Their elation at being rescued remained for several days.
